  • MELISSA BAMBER HOME

Our story began with a collection of hand-silkscreened pillows and has evolved into a vibrant tapestry of artful pieces for home and living. Every piece bears the unmistakable touch of Melissa's hand and a style sprinkled with equal measures of pretty, playtul, cheeky and charm.

Raised in the British School of Design and dually based in the Hudson Valley and New York City, Melissa draws inspiration from the enchanting flora and fauna of the country to the untamed spirit of the city.

Creation begins with a drawing; often weaving in unexpected twists and flirtatious juxtapositions. Burlesque dancers infuse traditional damasks, botanicals merge into background wallpapers, the whimsical is welcomed. An eclectic mix of vintage and contemporary themes are explored, playful shapes, color, shimmer and trims are adored. All art pieces are hand-silkscreened by the artist, and our talented team of artisans meticulously hand-craft leather and textile pieces here in New York, in limited editions. We are consciously committed to locally sourced materials and where possible, we give new life to remnant leathers and fabrics. With the belief that your home should delight and inspire, Melissa Bamber Home creates pieces that transform rooms, change moods and capture attention.

  • Reka Nyari

Living and working in New York City, Reka Nyari's practice spans from fashion and fine art photography and videography, to elaborate installation and performance pieces. Oscillating between mischievous eroticism and wistful splendor, her work employs and explores traditional ideals of beauty and gender to portray sexuality from a predominantly female perspective. Nyari’s images of nude figures are not strictly intended as alluring portraits – while deriving their emotional charge from the familiar motifs of erotic photography, they expand the pictorial vocabulary to the realm of narratives, layering in personal histories and fictitious content.

  • OPEN STUDIO

Jacquelyn's creative journey began in the world of fine art photography, where she cultivated a unique perspective on visual storytelling. As her passion evolved, she founded Open Studio, a dynamic creative hub offering a multitude of services.

At Open Studio, Jacquelyn's expertise extends beyond photography to encompass brand development, design, styling, production, and creative direction. With a knack for crafting captivating narratives, she helps clients shape their brand identities and elevate their visual presence. Whether it's curating art shows, producing residency programs, or conceptualizing innovative campaigns, Jacquelyn brings a modernistic approach to every project.

She specializes in logo design and website building, ensuring that her clients' brands are not only visually compelling but also strategically aligned with their goals.

She is gearing up to launch her own high-end brand. Fusing her love of 19th century antiques and functional design her brand sets outs to fill a white space in the cannabis accoutrement market.

  • JESSE WARNER-LEVINE

As a kid in Ohio I was a chapped-lipped violin player who walked on his tippy-toes. In Brooklyn I commute on a handcrafted custom bike fitted to my father from the 70s. I sweat less and less when I drink, and live in the Wallabout area of BK with my wonderful wife and two young children: Leni and the Honey-boy Malcolm.

I’ve worked in the wine industry for 14 years, including time at New York Vintners, Skurnik Wines, and Vintage Wine Distributors. I’ve come to love wine because of its complexity and its entwinement of history, superstition, geology, science, creativity and nature. But mostly, I love wine because it tastes good and is fun to drink with people. My special wine interests include Grower Champagne, Burgundy, Mosel, Northern Rhone and Highland Scotch.

  • Chef Owner of Da Toscano

    MICHAEL TOSCANO

A native of Houston, Texas, Michael grew up striving to be a professional golfer but became interested in cooking while working at a golf club in high school. Instead of pursuing a golf career, Michael received a scholarship to attend an American Culinary Federation Apprenticeship hosted through North Carolina's famed Pinehurst Resort. Upon graduation, he moved to New York City where he worked at Thomas Keller's, Bouchon and shortly after landed as a sous chef at Mario Batali's, Babbo at the young age of 21. After four years at the renowned restaurant, Michael was made the executive chef of Eataly's Manzo, the Italian food mecca's fine-dining restaurant. In 2012, as the Chef and Owner he opened Perla, a modern Italian restaurant located in Greenwich Village, which received many accolades including: Esquire's Best New Restaurants in America, New York Times Two Stars, and Time Out New York Best Italian Restaurant. Michael later took over the kitchens at the seafood focused Jeffrey's Grocery, and Montmartre, a contemporary French bistro. Michael was named a “New York Rising Star” by StarChefs.com, Zagat 30 Under 30, James Beard 3 time “Rising Star Chef” semifinalist and was selected to be part of the Williams Sonoma's Chefs' Collective.

In the summer of 2015 Michael and his wife Caitlin moved with their two children Julian and Marley to Charleston, South Carolina. They then opened the first restaurant of their group, Le Farfalle, followed by da Toscano in NYC, and the recently opened da Toscano Porchetta Shop in Charleston. In Michael‘s free time he loves relaxing with his family and dogs, lifting weights, playing golf and coaching his son’s basketball team.

  • Jen Pelka, Une Femme

As the founder of The Riddler, the all-women-funded Champagne bars in San Francisco and New York, I served tens of thousands of bottles of Champagne to the most stylish women on both coasts. While there, I realized that every time we put a woman-made wine on the list, it would outsell all others.

I wondered why there wasn’t a modern sparkling wine brand for "women like us": made by women winemakers, giving back to women-centered charities, digitally native, contemporary in style, and available everywhere we ate, drank, shopped, and traveled.

At Une Femme, we are building that brand.

So, whether we’re toasting to a dream job, a first home, or progress towards a better world, Une Femme is raising a glass to women raising the bar.

    I hope you’ll join us.
